Hole In One

If you make a hole in one and no one sees it, is it a hole in one?  Of course it is but the celebration won’t be as fun. You can chest bump a tree I guess.  You can tell people your story but only you can tell them. You won’t have that witness to that shot of a lifetime.  I have one hole- in-one in my lifetime. I was 19 years old, it was on the 4th July and I was playing with my ex brother-in-law who is total jackass now.  I never speak to him and he moved out of state but if for some reason, I needed his testimony I could find his ass and be cordial enough to get him to recount my hole in one. And as crazy as this sounds, my ex brother in law is actually the only real witness to ball going in the hole.  It was a long par 3, playing 204 yards and I hit a four iron short of the green and rolled past the hole. I knew it was good shot, it was right at the flag position, but for some reason after it saw it roll past the hole I starting walking towards the cart and I turned away from watching.  Then I heard my brother in law shriek “JIMMY !”  “IT’S IN !”  I turned around in disbelief and ran all the way the way the hole to look in the cup and there it was. Holy Shit.  There was a ridge past the hole and my ball had stopped on the ridge and rolled back about 10 feet into the hole. In the back door.  As much as I dislike that asshole, he is my only witness and I’m grateful that I wasn’t playing by myself.  That would suck.  So think of this the next time you consider playing solo, who is going to be your witness?       http://www.ReadyToPlayGolf.com
